Build Your Brand

This blog offers resources and inspiration for women baby boomers who love dogs and want to re-invent themselves because they feel disenfranchised with their personal lives or with their careers.

About Me

Kathy high res copy for resize

Hi, my name is Kathy Porter and I am Mrs BizWhiz.  "Mrs. B" made her debut on the internet over 10 years ago as my instant message screen name.

Shortly after I created her, I decided to step out into my "real time" community to brand myself as the consummate networker.  If there was someone you wanted to meet,  I wanted to make that introduction.

Over time,  I got really good at this.

Today,  Mrs BizWhiz is back online.  She brings the culmination of all of those years of making masterful, offline connections along with her (my) ability to listen intently to help you regardless of where you are in your career.

You may be a high school or college graduate,  be in the throes of a mid-career/mid-life crisis,  be a fledgling entrepreneur or a veteran in your field.  Got direct sale experience?  Me too!

Ultimately,  whatever level of success you're striving for depends on 1) how you build your professional brand and 2) shortening your learning curve.   I built my offline reputation by branding myself as the ultimate networker and can show you how to effectively brand yourself.

I can also "shorten your learning curve" by sharing what I've learned from  almost 10 years of research as I've delved into all kinds of topics relevant to starting a business.

As a veteran of the direct sale/network marketing industry,  I've been told I'm an objective sounding board for folks who are either just looking to sign up with their very first company or who have some experience and are feeling "stuck".

Welcome to my online world where I blog about a wide range of interests  while keeping my "cyberspace eye" out for folks seeking those life-changing introductions.  Won't you join me?

I just might have something up my sleeve that will work for you!

Why not start by opting in to receive my free report?  Writing articles is a great way to expand your reach in the market place and to show off a bit about your area of expertise.

Least practical skill:  can count from 1-4 and say,  "Throw out your trash!" in Turkish.

Can't live without:  public libraries,  yoga pants,  road trips, puppies, my family, girlfriends, and dreams.
